brace yourself for the cold.
snow is beautiful and unlike anything you've ever seen before but it can be unforgiving
walking in a falling snow still does'nt fail to enthrall me
and I find gliding downhill on a snowboard exhilirating
and the mountains are always more enchanting when bitterly cold and harder to reach

I think you'll look good in a long overcoat

you sound very much like someone i know.

it can be very lonely when one is likened to the mountains or placed among the stars...(sigh)

in any case,
celestial bodies sometimes find each other (or collide)

it is writ in the stars...

Mukhang enjoy ka naman dyan, ano? I'm glad! Kamusta mo na lang ako sa mga kaibigan natin dyan.

Have you heard the news about Bro. Rafe yet?

it was never meant to evoke loneliness
I know you're away from home
and never farther
the last thing you need is for someone
to conjure images of the past
and unleash homesickness...

I truly see you,
and I want the feeling to last,
the happy girl at toys r us
hanging on to that sweet innocence

dax, honestly, i don't know. stars may collide and it may take a billion years before that'll happen. i'm not counting on it.

sir rolly, it is both fun and stressful =) the things that i have to endure emotionally, however, are trivial compared to the financial rewards...di naman sa mukha ako'ng pera, but the earnings go a very long way, specially to my loved ones who are in dire need.
yes, i've heard about Bro. Rafe's tragic passing. i'm deeply saddened by this, parang nung mawala si Ray. we lost another great educator, but his legacy should live on.

dax, the past will always be a part of me, of anyone, for that matter. i once told my special friend, ray briones (and all along people think this idea came from him; God bless your soul, ray) that each person we meet is a unique encounter, and so, we have to be thankful for that encounter. people, past events, don't bring homesickness or pain. it's the choices we make, the risks we take that cause sadness.

a second lasts for a billion years
a millenium ends in a heartbeat
to the einsteinian stars
time does not exist

faith
in the heart of man
as in the realm of the stars
straddles
all of eternity

brian...

am i mistaken?

don't answer that.

you're chicken...(this is said facetiously) especially for someone who has come so far

don't you want to know?
(also rhetorical)

P.S.
I appreciate your wisdom and had always admired your writing

joyce said...

oh come on!

we both know who chickened out. i'm just being realistic, never chickened out.

p.s. thank you for admiring my writing. there's nothing fantastic about it, except it's both honest and simple. i suggest you visit jay david's blog (kuwentong tambay) and his wife's (deja brew). the links are on the right panel of my blog. you'd enjoy reading them.

give the moon a chance to take your blues away

it asks for nothing else...

dax

joyce said...

can it sing to me, bring to me that one person i love?

dax, it's a liar's moon

joyce said...

nontheless, i'm going out in the cold to watch the moon

i'm going out now. it's 8:05 and 38 degrees outside. the cold should freeze the blues away.

joyce said...

the moon won't ask for commitment, right?

yeah right...

Anonymous said...

it just made you realize that you can love a person even more than you ever thought possible

she shares the same feeling and she understands

joyce said...

it still is a liar's moon
good night dax...or is it good morning?

Anonymous said...

good night.

what Billy said...

joyce said...

"A lover's moon soars clear and bright, guiding true love throughout the night.
But a liar's moon lurks misty and gray, scheming to drive true love away."

this one's from the 1982 movie, starred matt dillon...reeks of cheese...but i honestly hope that moon will chance upon that one true love

joyce said...

unfortunately, i have dreamt too long a time...one year and not a single sign of it becoming...sad...very, very sad

so it is good night then.

only if God wills it

Ray and I never had the chance. God took him home.

Bry and I will never be...he's wasted too much time.

my time is now, and now is where Jack is.

the man who wasn't there
cuts not his heart here
the man who bleeds here,
like the man who wasn't there,
for reasons unlike and apart
is not going away.

dax

don't let the rain get you down

joyce said...

you talk in riddles, just like the man who's never here, and the man who is now bleeding...

the rain poured like the tears that i cried; let that wash and soothe away the sorrow of the man who's never here...

your words soothe the wounds they inflict

they mollify the perturbations
they create...

keep warm

no, those tears, fuel my own.

to anonymous, you didn't leave a name. or doesn't that matter, brian?
